Smart City has been awarded the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), recognizing the city's exemplary performance in governance.
The SGLG is a progressive award system that recognizes LGUs for good performance in various areas including financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business-friendliness, environmental management, and tourism.
The award ceremony was held at the Manila Hotel, where Smart City was among the select cities to receive the distinction.
"This recognition motivates us to continue improving our services and governance for the people of Smart City," the City Mayor expressed in a statement.
